Some major news
dropped in the month of September. First off the release of Diablo 3 on the
Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 3rd. The PC port to the
console proved superior to its original on the PC which made a majority of the
PC players upset as well as myself.
September 4th
was the release date of Outlast. This game is a survival horror game and it is
crazy scary. I haven’t gotten too much time to play this game but from the 4
hours of game play I have gotten to play was terrifying. I literally can’t play
this game for more than a half hour without giving up because I was scared.
This game is amazing and more people should play this game if you’re a fan of
the survival horror genre.
On September 10th
was the release of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs a sequel to Amnesia: A Dark Descent.
I am a huge fan of the first game but this sequel didn’t really live up to what
I was expecting it to be. But nonetheless it’s still pretty amazing. And just
like Outlast I got pretty damn scared playing this game
On September 17th one of the biggest games of the year has come out. It
is Grand Theft Auto 5. The game itself grossed over $800mil on the day it
launched; breaking world record for highest selling game at launch. As well as
breaking the world record for fastest game to gain $1 billion after 3 days of
launch, the previous record holder for that was Call of Duty black ops which
took 15 days to reach the $1 billion dollar mark
The game itself is amazing, but with the release of the Online, it was a
full blown mess. I didn't even bother going online for the first few days just
cause of server issues within the game. The whole online itself was extremely
buggy and was full of problem. Including characters made getting deleted, money
from banks being wiped, technical issues and not even being able to go online
as well. RockStar Games has said that due to all these problems that Online has
been having they are giving players $500,000. But there are a few requirements to
gain the money; first you must log on to GTA online during the month of October,
and to install an update, that’s really all you need to do to gain the
$500,000. The money will be placed in banks in game sometime in the month of October.
